This year for Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, we’re honoring the roots and diverse histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities in Philadelphia and beyond. With art in our galleries and special programming all month long, we hope you will join our community as we celebrate Hispanic and Latinx voices, cuisine, and creativity.

We’re excited to collaborate with Fabiola Lara, a Philly-based Latinx illustrator and designer. Curious to learn more about our fun partnerships and what’s happening at the museum this month? See below for more about our public events and programs that celebrate how Hispanic and Latinx identities are being explored through art.

Artist Statement

Latin America stretches across countless latitudes, carrying a spectrum of climates and cultures. In AMOR en Latitudes, national flowers from rainforests, mountains, plains, and deserts come together in bloom, united with love to connect the region—and to reflect both my Chilean roots and Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love I now call home.
